We're living in the information age and the flood of information and data we're exposed to each day is constantly growing. But still we can't use all of it properly and thus don't act accordingly. This project's aim was to explore new ways of how data can be rendered physically conceivable.
The outcome of this project was a working prototype that was built with the help of Processing, a barode scanner, a laptop, a receipt printer and a lot of plywood.
My goal was to create a physical interface that makes the user or customer experience the bad consequences of their consumption directly at the checkout counter and maybe make them change their behaviour in the future. For each checkout, an individual receipt is printed.
